Job Description
This role manufactures and assembles precision test and measurement equipment, calibrates and tests products, and supports inventory and logistics activities in a warehouse environment. The position is hands-on and physical, requiring regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and assisting team members with moving and lifting materials. Job Description
This role manufactures and assembles precision test and measurement equipment, calibrates and tests products, and supports inventory and logistics activities in a warehouse environment. You will work with printed circuit boards, electronic assemblies, and production documentation to ensure products meet strict quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble printed circuit boards into enclosures and complete electro-mechanical builds according to documented procedures and work order travelers.
- Perform manufacturing and assembly of precision test and measurement equipment, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all builds.
- Calibrate and test products using established methods, documenting all test and calibration information with extreme attention to detail.
- Log quality control data accurately, maintaining complete and compliant records in alignment with GMP and GDP standards.
- Label products correctly and prepare finished units for shipment, ensuring proper identification and traceability.
- Package products for shipping, receive incoming packages, and process materials according to internal procedures.
- Assist the purchasing and shipping departments with projects and tasks as needed to support smooth operations.
- Work on inventory control activities, including organizing stock, tracking materials, and participating in regular inventory counts.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other production documentation to ensure consistent product quality.
- Use PC-based tools and systems extensively for data entry, documentation, and tracking of production and inventory activities.
- Collaborate with team members to safely lift and move materials and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail in assembly and manufacturing tasks.
- Hand dexterity to perform assembly, calibration, and packaging of small components and precision equipment.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and documented instructions, including SOPs, work order travelers, and Bills of Materials.
- Strong PC skills for logging quality data, completing documentation, and working with production and inventory systems.
- Experience or familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly and circuit board assembly.
- Ability to perform basic PCB troubleshooting and electrical testing under guidance.
- Understanding or exposure to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and assist team members with lifting materials.
- Self-starter mindset with an inquisitive nature, including willingness to take initiative and ask questions.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and quality.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus but not required.
- Experience working with work order travelers and Bills of Materials is beneficial.
- Inventory control, including counts and material tracking, is an advantage.
- Familiarity with packaging, shipping, and receiving processes is helpful.
- Comfort working with precision test and measurement equipment and related documentation.
- Interest in learning about power quality, energy monitoring, and data analysis instruments.
