Role Overview

As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist in the preparation and distribution of medications for patients. Your role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medication delivery, supporting both patients and healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

• Receive and enter medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Prepare medications and labels for dispensing.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Maintain drug inventory in dispensing areas.
• Maintain appropriate records and process medication charges for services rendered.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Michigan.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and type approximately 25 words per minute.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of pharmacy experience.
