About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 12 Months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months required License: Must have an in-state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry, IV Start, Cardiac & Vasoactive drips, BiPAP, and High Flow Oxygen required. Charge Nurse Experience, Conscious Sedation preferred. Description: The unit focuses on cardiac and medical care, functioning as a true ICU stepdown. They manage complex patients including those with heart catheters and other cardiac interventions. The staff participates in the administration of BiPap and various cardiac and vasoactive drips. Nurses will be required to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities to meet patient care needs. Weekend work is a requirement for this position. Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. The expected patient ratio is 4 patients per nurse during all shifts. This position involves critical thinking and strong clinical skills to manage diverse patient needs. Nurses will handle the care of patients requiring telemetry monitoring and management of various IV drips. Candidates are expected to have experience in central line care, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Application of rapid response and code team protocols is also a critical component of this role.
