Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA will implement selected components of patient interventions, obtain data related to the interventions, and make modifications to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages with medical problems or health-related conditions that limit their movement and functional activities.
• Provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Adapt interventions as directed by the physical therapist to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have valid certification from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Verification of current instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of two years of inpatient experience, with outpatient experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual capabilities are a plus.
