Operations Manager

Manage daily live operations, including scheduling, catching, loading, and coordination with fleet, to ensure timely, efficient, and humane bird movement from farm to plant. Supervise catching crews and manage contracts, training, schedules, and performance against operational standards. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as DOA rates, catching, transit and holding times, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions. Ensure compliance with industry animal welfare policies and all applicable federal and state regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and records. Build and maintain strong working relationships with growers and producers, serving as a primary operational point of contact and supporting alliance and supplier coordination. Develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for live operations, and lead initiatives to enhance data collection, reporting, and scheduling systems. Manage budgets, invoicing, and extra-pay standards for catching and hauling contractors, and respond effectively to operational disruptions. Requirements Demonstrated experience in live haul, poultry, or agricultural operations management. Strong leadership and crew management skills, with the ability to direct field teams and contractors. Proven analytical ability, including experience working with operational data in Excel or similar tools. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills across growers, carriers, and leadership. Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
