This role is an experienced individual contributor who owns features from requirements through production delivery and plays a critical role in improving system reliability, performance, and engineering standards.Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder to be considered.This is an in-office position candidates must be within commuting distance of our Omaha NE or Albany NY Office. No Relocation will be offered at this time.What You Will Do:Design and develop modern 3‑tier web applications across front-end, back‑end, and data layersBuild and maintain RESTful APIs, system integrations, and reusable servicesTranslate business requirements into clear, maintainable technical solutionsDeliver complex features end‑to‑end, including development, automated testing, deployment, and validationMake informed technical decisions that balance long‑term maintainability with business needsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on root‑cause analysisCollaborate closely with product owners, QA, architects, and cross‑functional engineering teamsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices and standardsSupport cloud‑based deployments, performance tuning, and scalability initiativesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Equivalent experience or relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree4+ years of professional web development experienceStrong hands‑on experience with:Java, EJB, and API developmentAngular and TypeScriptWriting optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and working with relational databasesAbility to read/parse JSON and XML, and write unit/integration testsExperience with Git and modern version‑control workflowsFamiliarity with secure coding practices and cybersecurity standardsAbility to work across the full software development lifecycleStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skillsNice to Have:Experience working in Agile or SAFe environmentsBackground in insurance or financial servicesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deploymentsExperience with NestJS and Node.jsCandidates whose experience does not fully align with the stated requirements may be considered at an adjusted level. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with internal equity.The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
