Temporary Dental Hygienist shift in Kingfisher, OK on Wed, Oct 21, 2026. Hours: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (practice local time). Pay: $55.00 per hour. Unpaid break: 60 minutes. Appointment block length: with no dedicated RDA.

Practice Requests

Comfortable managing two columns of patients per shift in a fast-paced clinical environment without an assigned dental assistant. Able to work independently while utilizing assistant support as needed. Willing to taking own x-rays, completing polishing and flossing, and efficiently managing a schedule of up to 8 patients in the morning and 8 patients in the afternoon while maintaining quality patient care and workflow.

What Does a Dental Hygienist Do?

As a Dental Hygienist at Toothio, your responsibilities include conducting initial patient screenings, performing teeth cleaning (such as plaque removal), and providing guidance on oral health and preventative care. Collaborate with dentists to determine treatments for teeth or gum diseases. We're looking for reliable individuals capable of building trust with patients of all ages, possessing deep knowledge of health and safety rules and a keen eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you have steady hands and an excellent bedside manner, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients are at ease before examinations
• Properly sterilize dental instruments
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
• Clean and protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)
• Educate patients on proper teeth care, demonstrating good brushing techniques
• Provide post-operation instructions to patients
• Take X-rays or dental impressions
• Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases, including oral cancer
• Maintain documentation and charts for each patient
• Monitor supplies

Skills
