Senior Software EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade microservices and RESTful APIs using modern Java frameworks. You will be instrumental in building scalable backend systems and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery lifecycle.Please note: Java 21 is a mandatory requirement for this role. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Java 21 features (e.g., virtual threads, pattern matching, sealed classes, records) and be prepared to work in a Java 21-native environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot.API Development: Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.CI/CD Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.System Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring systems are loosely coupled, resilient, and scalable.Code Quality: Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices.Database Integration: Design and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL/NoSQL) for microservices architectures.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product owners, QA, DevOps) in an Agile/Scrum environment.Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.Required QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.Java 21 (Mandatory): Expert-level proficiency in Java 21 is required. Hands-on experience with virtual threads, pattern matching, records, sealed classes, and the new Client is essential. Candidates without Java 21 experience will not be considered.Spring Boot: Strong, hands-on experience with Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud) – preferably with Spring Boot 3.x which supports Java 21.APIs & Microservices: Proven experience designing, building, and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.CI/CD: Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI (or similar tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Version Control: Strong proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows.Testing: Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers).Agile: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
