Registered Nurse - Progressive Care / Intermediate Coronary Care

Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse - Progressive Care / Intermediate Coronary Care. This is a 02+ months contract opportunity with potential for extension and is located in Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite).

Job Pay Range: $50/hour ?$53/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Shift: Night Shift
• Duration: 8 weeks (05/18/2026 07/11/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
• On-Call: No
• Manage care for an assigned group of intermediate coronary care patients (typical ratio 1:3-4)
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret complex rhythms for cardiac patients
• Administer cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic surgery (CTS) patients
• Assess and manage patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, and acute chest pain
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• May be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit with lower acuity levels
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage hemodynamic status
• Document all care accurately in the EMR
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge planning

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Must-Have Skills: Documented Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience in work history
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a similar-sized facility
• Active RN license (Georgia or compact)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications both required
• Cardiac population experience (STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, C/P)
• Experience with cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, Pressors)
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensure/Certification:
• Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license required
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• Cardiac/Vascular Nursing certification (CV-BC) preferred
• PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) preferred
• Documented PCU experience in work history required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a similar-sized facility required
• Cardiac population experience (STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, C/P) required
• Experience with cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, Pressors)
• Telemetry monitoring experience
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry skills
• Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment abilities
• Ability to manage a 1:3-4 patient ratio in a high-acuity PCU setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
