MTL Management LLC is seeking an experienced  Handyman / Appliance Repair Technician to join our contractor network. We are looking for dependable professionals with a  documented working history of appliance repairs who can accurately diagnose issues, complete repairs, communicate clearly, and provide a professional experience in our clients’ homes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair common household appliances
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, drainage, heating, and operational issues
• Repair refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, microwaves, and similar residential appliances
• Remove and replace failed components when required
• Complete appliance installation and replacement when assigned
• Verify proper operation before leaving the jobsite
• Protect client flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and surrounding areas while working
• Maintain a clean and professional work area
• Provide clear documentation when additional parts or repairs are required
• Submit before-and-after photos for completed work
• Communicate promptly regarding job status, delays, or changes to the approved scope

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A  verifiable working history performing appliance repairs
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing residential appliances
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems associated with appliance repairs
• Their own professional tools and equipment
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone access for job updates, photos, and communication
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned jobs on schedule
• Proof of active business insurance
• Proof of General Liability (GL) coverage

Insurance documentation must remain current while completing assignments for MTL Management LLC.

Business Ownership

Operating your own established handyman, appliance repair, maintenance, or contracting business is  highly recommended but not required .

Contractors with an existing business, established service history, professional references, and documented appliance-repair experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants who do not currently operate their own business may still be considered provided they meet MTL Management LLC's experience, insurance, professionalism, and workmanship requirements.

Preferred Experience

Experience servicing or repairing any of the following is strongly preferred:

• Refrigerators and freezers
• Washers and dryers
• Dishwashers
• Electric and gas ranges
• Ovens
• Over-the-range microwaves
• Garbage disposals
• Ice makers
• Appliance water and drain connections

Experience with multiple major appliance brands is preferred.

Contractor Expectations

Contractors are expected to arrive on time, perform only the authorized scope of work, maintain professional communication with clients, and immediately report any condition that could require a change in scope or additional authorization.

No additional work should be performed without prior approval from MTL Management LLC.

Contractors must not collect payment directly from MTL clients unless specifically authorized.

Contractors are responsible for maintaining all required insurance coverage and providing updated certificates or proof of coverage when requested.

Compensation

Pay is project-based and established before each assignment.

Compensation varies based on the appliance, diagnosis, repair complexity, required labor, and scope of work. Additional approved work may result in an adjusted contractor payout.

Parts and authorized job materials are handled according to the individual work order.
