Join us in making a difference!Garver is seeking a Transportation Roadway Team Leader to join our growing Team in Franklin, Tennessee. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Tennessee, and grow their career.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and management of transportation design projects (Highways, Roadways, Bicycle/Pedestrian facilities)Develop project/task schedules for active projectsFacilitate coordination with subconsultants and internal design team membersProvide oversight of plans production for transportation design projectsPrepare plans, cost estimates, reports, and calculations required for client deliverable packages.Lead engagement and interaction with design teams, clients, and project stakeholders.Technical experience should include:Geometric design for roadways/interchangesDrainage designConstruction sequencing and traffic controlUtility relocation coordinationMarketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited programLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Tennessee, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire10-15 years or more years of relevant experiencePractical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as TDOT Design manuals and processesExperience with Microstation, Geopak, Open Roads Designer and/or other roadway design softwareGood interpersonal skills and a team-first mentalityEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred Requirements/Skills:Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TDOT (or other DOT) transportation project designGrow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
