Job Description
Registered Nurse – ICU RN responsible for delivering high-acuity critical care to adult patients within a fast-paced intensive care environment. The ICU RN will manage critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive medications, and complex nursing interventions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

This position requires strong critical care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The RN must be comfortable floating to similar units within scope based on operational needs.

Mandatory Skills / Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of ICU RN experience required
Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit experience REQUIRED
Experience with ventilated patients required
Experience with arterial line management required
Experience with blood product administration required
Experience with central line and PICC line management required
Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management required
Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) required
Experience interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs) required
Experience with suctioning (ETT/NT) required
Experience with continuous IV sedation required
Experience titrating cardiac drips required
Experience titrating vasoactive drips required
Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
Experience with IV insulin protocols required
Experience with CVA/Acute Stroke management required
Strong infection prevention and isolation precaution knowledge required
Strong communication and teamwork skills required

Preferred Experience
External Ventricular Drain (EVD) experience
ICP monitoring
Post-neurosurgery management
Hypothermia protocol / Arctic Sun
Neuro ICU experience
Surgical ICU experience

32 Beds / 32 Rooms
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Float assignments may include MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU within scope
Maximum 4 patients while floating
