Help Create Programs and Experiences That Connect Our Community The Anchorage Museum is a museum of people, place, planet, and potential. Through exhibitions, education, storytelling, art, science, history, and community engagement, we create experiences that connect people to Alaska, the North, and the ideas shaping our future. As the Programs Support Specialist , you will help bring Museum programs, events, and learning experiences to life through coordination, logistics, and administrative support. Working closely with staff, instructors, and community partners, you'll help ensure programs run smoothly and create welcoming experiences for participants. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and supporting meaningful work behind the scenes. What You'll Do Program Coordination Support the planning and administration of public programs, classes, camps, workshops, and events Coordinate registrations, participant communications, schedules, and program records Maintain program documentation, databases, and reporting information Help track timelines and support successful program delivery Event & Logistics Support Coordinate materials, supplies, equipment, and room reservations Assist with event setup, breakdown, and day-of logistics Work with Museum departments and community partners to ensure program readiness Help resolve logistical challenges and support smooth operations Participant & Community Engagement Serve as a welcoming point of contact for participants, instructors, and partners Respond to questions and provide information about Museum programs Support participant registration and attendance tracking Help create positive, accessible, and inclusive experiences for diverse audiences Team & Operational Support Collaborate with colleagues across the Museum to support program goals Assist with purchasing, invoices, and budget trackingSupport improvements to administrative processes and workflows Contribute to a collaborative and service-oriented team culture Who We're Looking For We're seeking a highly organized and service-oriented professional who enjoys helping people and projects succeed.
