Conducts development and follow‑up of leads and customer retention/service calls through means of telephone and person‑to‑person contact to identify customer needs. Provides accurate service quotes based on property size and customer needs, prospects, and generates sales revenue by adding new program customers and cross‑selling and upselling current customers. Develops customized service solutions based on customer needs and offers Pro Turf/Pro Pest products and programs. May focus on either residential or commercial sales. Base Pay Range: $38,000-$40,00 Annually Salary Plus Commission Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year (base & commission) Position Description The essential duties of this position include the following: Visit potential customer properties to assess needs, provide cost estimates, and present service bids. Engage with current and prospective customers through in‑person interactions to promote programs and services, secure sales, and schedule service appointments. Measure property with appropriate tools to ensure utmost accuracy in the quoting process. Follow established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell Pro Turf/Pro Pest products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts utilizing resources and tools provided to achieve sales targets and promotion program objectives. Maintain call records, account status and customer feedback in CRM system. Manage account records and programs in an organized manner. Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from direct mailing/advertisement campaigns, community activities, and other resources. Prepare and maintain proper sales reports. Conduct retention and service calls. Meet company retention standards. Contact customers to measure satisfaction after service is completed or to otherwise provide assistance by answering their questions and service concerns. Work to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. Analyze and distribute new sale cancellation requests to retain customers. Other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years of outside sales experience, ideally in the lawn, horticulture, or pest control industry. A combination of relevant education, training, and experience, including work as a technician, is also acceptable. Must pass lawn application licensing test in the state in which the position is selling. May be required to take additional testing depending on services that the position will sell to customers. Excellent computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Data entry skills with a mobile device. Negotiation and influencing skills, consultative sales skills and strong communication skills. Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales). Ability to build customer relationships and provide customer service. Mathematical skill to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel locally on an extensive basis. Time management skills, including punctuality for on‑time attendance. Ability to define customer problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Highly motivated to complete tasks within a time frame. Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills. Valid state driver's license from state of residence within 30 days of hire, and a clean driving record per company standards.
