Located conveniently near Albuquerque, NM, this contract opportunity focuses on both individual and group interventions, allowing you to make a positive impact in an educational setting. Work closely with students who benefit from your skills and compassion, helping them achieve improved physical function and greater confidence in school activities.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico (required)
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Ability to provide services both 1:1 and in group settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working primarily in-person to provide the best hands-on support
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized physical therapy plans for students based on their needs
- Deliver both direct therapy sessions and consultation to teachers and staff
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy interventions as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all state and district requirements
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with other educational professionals
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
