Transportation Planner

Overview Our customer, LG Electronics USA, depends on consistent & sustainable logistics for their customers through apt Smartbench/TMS usage, rule driven operations and appointment scheduling flows. Transportation Planners are responsible for providing on‑time visibility to carriers for coverage, real‑time communication for on‑time pickup, and unifying the warehouse & carrier for on‑time shipping. Primary Responsibilities Download data and assess orders that are due/overdue and will be completed that night Tender loads to carriers on‑time in Smartbench Schedule pickup appointments on C3 and TMS with carriers Release loads to Warehouse Management System on time Follow up with carrier and warehouse to maximize on‑time truck arrival & shipping Follow up with carrier to secure same day or next day recovery Relay delivery appointment reschedule requests on time Validate events during transit, such as accessorial charges Draft and submit daily closing report regarding missed pickups, recovery/rescheduling status, remaining overdue orders, and how to clear them out Key Performance Indicators On‑Time Pickup Appt Confirmation On‑Time Release to WMS On‑Time Truck Arrival Same Day Recovery for Missed Pickups Missed Pickup Rate Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus 1+ years of experience in data entry 3-4 years of customer service experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or procurement Able to work occasional overtime hours Proficient in MS Excel (intermediate or better preferred) Experience/knowledge with Supply Chain Management Systems (TMS, WMS preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail‑oriented and team player Strong problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize tasks during time‑sensitive situations Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, AD&D, 401K, and PTOs/ paid holidays Job Type Full‑time, Regular Hours Monday to Friday, 01:00 PM – 11:00 PM (night shift) Saturday (rotational morning shift), 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM #J-18808-Ljbffr LX Pantos Americas
