Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Templeton, California. This 11-week, temporary position is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Start date: 11/09/2026. Weekly pay range: $2,189–$2,218 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, treatment and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapy, blood products, and manage indwelling catheters and drains; operate and monitor ED equipment safely.
- Interpret ECG rhythms and manage life-threatening emergencies in acuity levels typical of the ED; respond to Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis and Trauma Activations as indicated.
- Complete timely, legible documentation of all nursing care and patient progress; review orders and ensure timely execution; communicate with ED physicians and the health care team; follow established chain of command.
- Provide medication-specific education and discharge instructions, including adverse effect teaching as appropriate.
- Collaborate with CNAs and other team members to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care within the ED.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) required; BSN preferred
- Experience: At least 1 year of recent acute care experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS; TNCC required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Licensure/Certifications: EPIC experience or strong EMR proficiency
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and perform 12-hour ED nursing duties
