OPERATIONS – ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER NSA Storage, Oak Forest, IL Job Details Salary: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour Store Address: 325 Frontage Rd, Oak Forest IL 60452 Essential Duties Work independently to manage daily property operations Provide exceptional customer service, including answering inquiries, assisting with storage needs, and processing rental agreements Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies Process payments, issue receipts, and manage delinquent accounts, including collection efforts Conduct cash drawer audits and execute bank deposits per company policies Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with a focus on safety and maximizing units available for rent Job Qualifications Valid driver’s license Cash handling experience preferred Ability to work unsupervised Basic computer knowledge Ability to multitask Experience in sales Physical Requirements Conduct property walks often during shifts Spend about 50% of time outdoors, including walking, climbing stairs, and opening large doors frequently Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the property, including regular inspections and maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs Transport or move items weighing up to 35 pounds Run errands for the facility and travel/commute to other store locations when required Average Day As an Assistant Property Manager, your day will be dynamic and diverse. You will start by preparing for opening, ensuring everything is clean and in working order, conducting a property walk-through, and counting the cash drawer. Throughout the day you will assist customers in finding the right storage solutions, handle rental agreements, process payments, and address any concerns. Regular inspections of the property will be performed to check maintenance needs and ensure safety measures. You may also engage in virtual meetings, collaborative projects, and continue training. The day ends with closing procedures and securing the property. You will work five days a week (no Sundays) and be off work by 6 pm, allowing time for personal pursuits.
