Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a high-volume ED setting, ensuring prompt assessment, treatment, and documentation. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with procedures such as IV insertions and bedside assessments.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care plans and updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory policies, and unit guidelines during all procedures.
• Attend mandatory shift huddles and participate in team briefings to ensure cohesive patient management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience preferred.
• Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC, ENPC, or CEN is a plus.
• Demonstrate compassion, urgency, and excellent teamwork skills.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and cardiac monitors is preferred.
• Ability to perform assessments, medication administration, wound care, and IV setup efficiently.
