ReInsurance Data Engineer & Reporting Lead NYC preferred, open to NJ or CT with regular travel to NYC Full time, permanent Need to have P&C experience – Treaty and Facultative Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performance solutions that align with business objectives. Own data modeling and ETL/ELT pipelines for reporting and analytics. Run code reviews and enforce best practices for data quality and performance. Deliver clean, documented solutions and support enterprise-level reporting needs. Build best-in-class ETL/ELT solutions for effective data ingestion and transformation, implementing and managing DBT workflows to ensure data quality and consistency. Team Lead experience – this is a must have – both on shore and off shore team members Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years in the data and analytics space with extensive experience delivering enhanced data and analytics capabilities. 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing data consumption solutions using Azure cloud offerings, including ADLS, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Power BI. Expertise in modern data architecture patterns and advanced SQL, preferably using DBT or similar tools. Expertise in data modeling for reporting and analytics. 5+ years of experience supporting Power BI reporting as an enterprise platform and working within the reinsurance domain. 5+ years working within the reinsurance domain is necessary for success. Experience migrating on-premises data, reporting, and analytics assets to cloud technologies, along with a solid understanding of DevOps, Git integration, and CI/CD pipelines. Understand enterprise level PowerBI Advanced SQL needed Preferred skills: Python, Spark, JSON expertise. Background in cloud/information security.
