Under the direction of the Medicaid Operations Unit lead, perform data analytics including regular and ad‑hoc reporting for public health insurance programs such as Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, maternal and child health, telehealth, and transportation services. Coordinate with the Unit lead to collect program requirements, translate them into technical documentation, and compile methodology/code for reporting requirements. Assess Medicaid data structures to produce advanced analytics; research new data sources, analytical tools, and recommend solutions. Produce business‑intelligence solutions by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods to identify data patterns and trends, assess data structures, conduct or coordinate tests to ensure solutions meet defined needs, validate and reformulate models for accurate prediction, draft new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses, create written reports, and effectively communicate and present results. May supervise lower‑level staff. Minimum Qualifications Non‑competitive: seven years of experience in data visualization, statistical models, and data mining tools. Substitution: an associate’s degree may substitute for two years of general experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years; a master’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field may substitute for one year; a Ph.D. may substitute for two years. Preferred Qualifications Experience in insurance, Medicaid preferred; one year of SQL experience working with large datasets; two years of supervising experience.
