Chef Manager - White Plains, New York

Job Summary As Chef Manager, you will oversee back and front of house operations for the food service departments, maintain a quality culinary program, and process all financial reporting. Duties include menu development, inventory, purchasing, labor and food cost controls, sanitation standards, and personnel management (hiring, coaching, counseling, training, and development). Key Responsibilities Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Participate in employee meetings and training programs. Conduct safety, sanitation and maintenance programs. Maintain food cost while ensuring quality standards. Maintain an active role in managing team developments. Manage purchasing and inventory controls. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Culinary Arts preferred or equivalent professional experience. Five years progressive culinary management experience. Self‑starter, innovative and able to multitask. Maintains a positive attitude under pressure and motivates team. Passion for excellence. Knowledgeable on HACCP controls and proper storage and use of food. Purchasing, food storage and sanitation experience. Profit‑and‑loss and financial reporting experience. Knowledge of budgets, labor costs and inventory controls. Strong leadership, coaching and training skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift, bend and carry up to 40 lbs. Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles. Conforms to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
