Hours : 5.00 hours per day, 25 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Charles Wright Elementary School has an opening for a Title 1 Math/Reading Tutor. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated professional with superior communication skills to provide student intervention support for the 2026-2027 academic year. The chosen candidate will begin the assignment on August 26, 2026, and will continue through the end of the school year (June 2027). The Math/Reading Tutor will work across all grade levels (K-6) to support students with direct, targeted intervention/instruction to promote student growth toward grade-level expectations and goal mastery. Responsibilities:
- Implement daily lesson plans for students targeting individualized support;
- Work directly with students to provide routine push-in support in classrooms as well as targeted small group/one-on-one instruction both in the classroom and intervention environments;
- Provide students with positive feedback and encouragement;
- Support student understanding of academic concepts and demonstration of fluency skills;
- Track and maintain records of student progress;
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student needs through small group instruction, communicate goals/achievements, progress, student challenges, and changes in interventions;
- Foster a positive learning environment that is sensitive to student needs and promotes increased learning performance;
- Provide the building curriculum specialist and classroom teachers with regular reports of student progress toward learning goals.
- Hold a minimum of an Associate's Degree;
- Elementary Teacher certification is preferred, but not required;
- Enthusiasm for helping children;
- Respectful/collaborative attitude;
- Ability to manage plans and drive positive results;
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability.
