RN - MedSurg

Med Surg RN - 3x12 Hour Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend availability is required with a total of 6 shifts in a 6-week period.

The Med Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role involves direct patient care, management of complex medical conditions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs.
• Manage care for patients undergoing bariatric and orthopedic surgeries.
• Perform wound care and manage surgical drains.
• Assist with high-flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience is required.
• Current and valid RN license (Compact) is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
