Annually, Hope Christian School educates approximately 1,200 students from Preschool through 12th grade. Full Time, 9-Months

Job Summary : The Elementary School Permanent Substitute will fill in for the Elementary School and cover the classroom for the teacher and provide professional instruction to students using Biblical principles and a Christian worldview. The Permanent Substitute will also support the Elementary School as part of the office staff for the school. This position is a 9-month position and aligns with the school year.

Essential Functions :

• Teach classes as assigned following the lesson plans created by the teacher when substituting in classroom.
• Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education.
• Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations.
• Provide administrative support to the Elementary School front office and leadership.

• Have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ.
• Comply with all Hope Christian School policies and procedures and attend all required meetings/trainings including but not limited to faculty meetings, student chapels, staff chapels, in-service trainings, required school functions, etc.
• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and related experience preferred.
• Experience as teacher or substitute preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with students and parents.
