Liferay Developer

We are seeking an experienced Liferay Developer with strong expertise in Java, Liferay DXP, and enterprise application development . The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing scalable system architectures, developing production‑quality applications, and building secure API services. This role requires deep knowledge of Liferay DXP 7.x , modern Java technologies, and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and develop end‑to‑end system architectures, including RESTful APIs and enterprise web applications. Write clean, scalable, and production‑quality code using Liferay DXP , Java , SQL , and API services. Develop, customize, and maintain Liferay DXP portals, modules, and applications. Build and deploy modular applications using the OSGi framework. Develop reusable services, portlets, hooks, modules, and custom components within Liferay. Integrate third‑party applications and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement best coding practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, business analysts, QA, and DevOps engineers. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment activities. Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability following enterprise development standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing applications using Liferay DXP (7.x). Strong experience with Java 11/17+ and enterprise frameworks such as: Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate Experience designing scalable system architectures and enterprise API services. Strong understanding of the OSGi runtime framework , bundle lifecycle, and modular architecture. Experience developing RESTful web services and API integrations. Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and working with relational databases such as: PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle Experience with build and development tools including: Gradle, Maven, Git and Blade CLI Preferred Skills Knowledge of responsive web design principles. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
