Prepared Food Lead

Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members—giving them more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You’ll Do Lead the team within all prepared foods departments (e.g., café, rotisserie, and prepared foods) by facilitating rotations through different fresh areas and managing member needs to deliver on the business plan and contribute to overall success. Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies and advocate for the member, associate, and company. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. Manage seasonality, production, new product recipes, processes, and specifications, prioritizing time between areas. Collaborate with associates and third parties to ensure the team has resources, share knowledge, and train the team. Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Maintain operational excellence: plan for profitability, ensure neat, clean, and safe work area, appropriate staffing, accurate audit and compliance standards, produce and display merchandise per plan, engage with other departments and third‑party partners. Act as Talent Ambassador: teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent. Develop and implement processes, analyze information, monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, promote compliance with company policies, advanced ethics, and Open Door Policy. Lead and participate in teams, share resources, coordinate assignments, provide feedback, and support change adaptation. Promote inclusivity, positive workplace culture, teamwork, and integrity. Serve members, deliver results prioritizing customer focus, and make decisions based on reliable information. Minimum Qualifications Six (6) months experience in a fresh production department or six (6) months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a team. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
