Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Systems Engineer with strong experience in middleware technologies, OpenShift containerization, automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining middleware platforms while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Web Middleware Technology team in onboarding applications using Chef and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform lifecycle management of SSL certificates , including creation, renewal, retention, and revocation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Apache Tomcat application and middleware issues.
• Design, develop, and deploy applications using Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab within CI/CD pipelines.
• Install, configure, and maintain middleware software systems.
• Use Red Hat OpenShift to containerize applications and support deployment across multiple environments.
• Utilize AWS Cloud Services to manage and support infrastructure.
• Apply security patches and maintain middleware/server environments in accordance with security standards.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and other technical teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor middleware performance and establish performance standards and benchmarks.
• Modify and enhance existing software to correct errors, improve performance, and support upgrades.
• Monitor systems and equipment to ensure they operate according to specifications.
• Analyze system capabilities, requirements, and performance data to support continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and containerization .
• Strong middleware experience, particularly Apache Tomcat .
• Hands-on experience with SSL certificate lifecycle management .
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise middleware environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation .
• Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
