Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to serve as the face of our organization in the field, working directly with advanced, high-value capital equipment used by customers around the world.

This industrial machinery company manufactures a wide spectrum of mixers, dryers, extruders, compounders, kneaders, reaction vessels, and centrifugal separation equipment for large or small scale manufacturing applications.

This is a hands-on position for a mechanically minded problem solver who enjoys variety, learns quickly, and isn't afraid to get in the field and figure things out. If you have strong mechanical intuition, take pride in solving difficult problems, and genuinely enjoy traveling to new places and working with different customers, this opportunity may be a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Install, set up, commission, and optimize new, high-value industrial machinery at customer facilities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in the field.
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and execute accurate, effective corrective actions.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and related technical documentation.
• Work directly with customer personnel to ensure equipment is operating safely, reliably, and according to specifications.
• Train and instruct customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting—from shop-floor operators to management and executive-level stakeholders.
• Complete accurate Field Service Reports documenting work performed, equipment conditions, findings, and recommendations.
• Travel domestically approximately 75% of the time, typically for 3–5 days at a time.
