Alameda Health System is seeking a licensed Audiologist to join our collaborative Rehabilitation Services team. This position provides the opportunity to practice the full scope of clinical audiology while serving a diverse patient population within a mission-driven public healthcare system dedicated to Caring, Healing, Teaching, and Serving All. The Audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative hearing services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while collaborating with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams throughout Alameda Health System. Responsibilities Include: Perform comprehensive audiological evaluations and diagnostic testing. Conduct basic and advanced audiologic procedures, including hearing, speech, and specialized diagnostic testing. Evaluate patients for hearing aids and amplification devices. Provide hearing aid fitting, orientation, and follow-up services. Develop and implement individualized aural rehabilitation and habilitation programs. Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies. Monitor patients receiving ototoxic medications through hearing conservation programs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and formal evaluation reports. Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and treatment planning. Educate patients, caregivers, hospital staff, and community members on hearing health. Support Alameda Health System's mission of providing equitable healthcare to all communities. Practice Setting Outpatient clinical practice within Alameda Health System. Work with patients across the lifespan. Comprehensive hearing evaluations and rehabilitative services. Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Audiology from an accredited program. Current California Audiology license. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Strong clinical skills in diagnostic audiology and hearing rehabilitation. Preferred Experience providing comprehensive diagnostic audiology services. Hearing aid evaluation and fitting experience. Experience working in a hospital or multidisciplinary healthcare setting. Commitment to serving diverse and underserved patient populations. Excellent communication and patient education skills.
