POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of five years of MEP consulting experience and approximately ten years of experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience designing building electrical systems, collaborating across disciplines, and supporting projects from design through construction.

The company is seeking someone who is technically strong, communicative, and adaptable within a growing office environment. This individual will work directly with clients, project teams, and leadership while maintaining meaningful visibility within the organization.

The successful candidate does not need to have every answer immediately but must be comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and project teams in a confident and professional manner. The ability to apply sound engineering judgment, communicate technical concepts clearly, and know when additional research or collaboration is required is highly valued.

This role also includes leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, guiding, and reviewing the work of junior engineers and designers while helping support the continued growth of the Denver office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects

• Prepare construction documents, specifications, calculations, and technical reports

• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines

• Participate in client meetings and project coordination efforts

• Support project delivery through design, documentation, and construction administration

• Assist with project scheduling and project delivery objectives

• Collaborate with leadership and project teams on technical solutions

• Mentor junior engineers and designers as opportunities arise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of MEP electrical engineering experience

• Approximately 10 years of experience preferred

• Experience designing building electrical systems

• CAD and/or Revit experience required

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Experience producing construction documents and electrical system designs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred

• Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing junior engineers and designers

• Ability to confidently communicate technical concepts to clients, architects, contractors, and project teams

• Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving skills

• Commercial project experience

• Healthcare project experience

• Aviation project experience

• Multifamily project experience

• Hospitality project experience

• Education project experience

• Mixed-use project experience

• Client-facing project experience

• Lighting controls design experience

• Power distribution systems experience

• Energy code compliance knowledge

COLORADO PAY TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURE

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, licensure, technical expertise, project experience, and overall fit for the position.

In addition to base compensation, eligible employees may participate in company-sponsored benefit programs and other compensation offerings available at the time of hire.
