Posted Job Title Resource Technologist B Job Description Summary The Resource Technologist will support translational research within a highly technical resource laboratory. This position requires a college degree, preferably in science, and a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an analogous laboratory setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This individual works within a team to perform whole slide imaging, DNA/RNA extractions, microtomy, special stains, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and in situ hybridization in the Center. The technologist applies scientific judgment, drawing on personal expertise and collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality results. The team tracks specimens, follows SOPs, maintains records, manages reagents, documents experimental details, and ensures quality control, while contributing to troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts. Experience in pathology with clinical samples is desirable. Tasks are complex and involve advanced robotic equipment. The role requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously and following instructions accurately as part of a team in a client-focused environment. Excellent communication, meticulous record keeping, and strong time-management skills are essential. The candidate will report to the project manager of the Center. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Position is contingent upon continued funding. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $57,500.00 - $70,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
