The incumbent ensures cleanliness of assigned areas and equipment. Further, the Sanitation (U) disposes of waste in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations to ensure institutional compliance.**CORE JOB FUNCTIONS*** Takes out the trash and replaces container trash bags.* Ensures applicable areas are properly stocked.* Cleans tile floors, restrooms, and equipment with approved chemicals.* Dusts and wipes applicable areas and vacuums carpeted floors.* Responds to service requests to address spills or other incidents.* Maintains applicable equipment in good working conditions at all times.* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.***This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.*****CORE QUALIFICATIONS*** High School diploma or equivalent* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience**knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:*** Commitment to the University’s core values.* Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.* Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.* Ability to understand and follow instructions.*The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and primary responsibilities of this job classification.
