With a diverse caseload and uniquely tailored session schedules, this PRN position offers a rewarding blend of small-group interventions and individualized consults. Desired Background & Skills:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New Jersey
- Experience in school-based OT is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in home health, teletherapy, or general pediatric OT settings a plus
- Ability to tailor therapeutic strategies to group and individual student needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- General comfort with technology for teletherapy, if needed
- Compassion and adaptability when engaging diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate small group therapy for students:
- 15 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
- 20 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
- Provide consultative services:
- 1 monthly, 30-minute group consult
- 1 monthly, 30-minute individual consult
- 5 sessions annually, 10-minute consults
- Conduct individualized therapy:
- 15 sessions per year, 30 minutes each
- Document progress and collaborate with school staff and families to support student outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and adjust strategies as students grow and change
