Jornada: Turnos diurnos (30 a 39 horas semanales)
Horarios: 7:00AM a 4:00PM, 7:30AM a 4:30PM

Resumen del Puesto
El/La Asistente Dental con Funciones Expandidas brinda apoyo clínico y administrativo en la prestación de servicios dentales a pacientes de todas las edades, asegurando la calidad, seguridad y eficiencia del cuidado. Prepara a los pacientes para los tratamientos, asiste al dentista durante los procedimientos y mantiene el cumplimiento con las normas de control de infecciones y esterilización. Además, maneja la documentación clínica y la información confidencial de los pacientes, contribuyendo al flujo efectivo de la clínica y garantiza una experiencia distintiva para los pacientes.
Actividades del Puesto
Ejecuta el flujo de trabajo y el ciclo completo de funciones establecido en la clínica.
Prepara los cubículos para examen, procedimientos restaurativos, limpiezas, endodoncia, periodoncia, limpiezas, emergencias y cirugías, asegurando la limpieza, desinfección y organización de los instrumentos y materiales.
Asiste en todo momento al dentista durante procedimientos utilizando la técnica de trabajo a cuatro manos con los pacientes.
Realiza profilaxis supragingival bajo la supervisión directa del dentista y aplica fluoruro, agentes preventivos de caries y sellantes oclusales según las indicaciones correspondientes.
Toma radiografías digitales dentales y maneja los equipos asociados siguiendo los protocolos de seguridad y calidad diagnosticable de las imágenes.
Prepara materiales y mezcla cementos, amalgamas y resinas, así como impresiones preliminares o finales.
Realiza procedimientos reversibles bajo la supervisión del dentista.
Toma impresiones y las vierte en piedra o mediante escaneo digital.
Participa en la fabricación de restauraciones temporeras y el manejo de emergencias odontológicas básicas.
Documenta y corrobora el historial dental del paciente en el sistema de salud electrónico.
Atiende la preocupación o queja del paciente, toma los vitales, y revisa y reconcilia los medicamentos.
Recibe y prepara al paciente para los tratamientos, brindando orientación sobre el procedimiento y cuidados postoperatorios.
Ofrece educación sobre higiene bucal, prevención de placa, y mantenimiento de la salud oral.
Mantiene la imagen de espejo, la limpieza y organización de los cubículos.
Asiste en la programación de citas, registro de pacientes y actualización de información demográfica en los sistemas de salud electrónicos.
