About the Position

Job Title: Licensed Psychologist Profession: Psychologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 months Shift: Full Time Hours per Shift: 5x8s or 4x10s Experience: 2 years clinical experience, including 1 year in a comparable position License: Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the relevant state Certifications: Valid driver's license Must-Have: - Psychological screenings - Psychological assessments - Clinical interviews - Knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques - Mental health assessments Description: The Licensed Psychologist is responsible for professional mental health care. The successful candidate should be able to perform all of the job functions at a required pace and performance level. Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on the review of available records and clinical interviews. Confer with other clinical staff to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems. Ensure treatment activities are well integrated and patient care follow-through occurs. Provide treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs. Make regular rounds in confined housing areas to assess mental health treatment needs. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques. Provide appropriate mental health assessments and counseling for inmates in crisis. Consult with various staff to gather understanding into the escalation of problem behaviors and changes in mental health conditions.
