Job Description:

The Licensed Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing land development and construction projects to ensure functionality, compliance, and long-term performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in site development, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams. This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis: Create civil engineering designs for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway layouts.

Project Management: Oversee and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other engineers to develop and implement effective site and infrastructure solutions.

Inspection and Testing: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and resolve issues as they arise.

Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, plans, specifications, and engineering calculations for all civil projects.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve engineering challenges during design and construction phases.

Plan Approval & Sealing: Prepare, review, and seal/stamp engineering plans in accordance with Texas regulations.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas (required).

Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land development or construction, with a proven track record of successful projects.

 

Skills:

• Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
• Strong understanding of site development, grading, drainage, and utility systems
• Knowledge of Texas building codes, permitting processes, and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
