Duties

• Develop comprehensive behavioral intervention plans tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.

• Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and establish treatment goals.

• Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including ABA strategies, to promote skill acquisition and reduce problematic behaviors.

• Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including special education professionals, medical staff, and caregivers—to ensure cohesive care plans.

• Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of patient care.

• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and ensure all documentation reflects accurate medical terminology and treatment details.

• Conduct regular patient assessments to evaluate progress, update treatment plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligible for certification, an LBA in the state of Maryland, active certification required.

• Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum.

• Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and data collection methods.

• Experience conducting patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations within a behavioral health setting.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with special needs or disabilities.
