Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in a large, busy ED environment with high patient acuity. This role requires prior travel ER experience and certification compliance to ensure optimal patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adolescents through geriatrics in a high-acuity setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic testing per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and support stroke and STEMI protocols.
• Document patient information accurately within electronic medical records, specifically Epic and Pyxis systems.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in Georgia or a Compact state at the time of application.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 3 ER contracts completed.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• Possess experience working in high-volume, large ED environments with Epic EMR.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
