Patient Support Associate – BGMC Transport, Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY Job Summary This part‑time position (4 p - 8 p, 5 p - 9 p, 6 p - 10 p) supports patient comfort, transportation, inventory, and limited clerical duties under the supervision of the RN or Transport Manager. Responsibilities Maintain patient comfort and safety during transport. Handle transportation, inventory, and dietary tasks. Perform computer data entry. Participate in assigned patient care and quality improvement activities. Communicate information obtained from patients clearly. Operate equipment safely and properly. Support a patient‑centered care program and uphold Kaleida Health policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year in a customer‑service focused position (for Centralized Transport Department). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations. Capability to work independently and professionally. Working Conditions Weight Requirement – Heavy (up to 100 lbs).
