Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Agilent seeks a Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer to lead the design and deployment of automation and digital manufacturing solutions across global manufacturing sites. The role requires a technical leader experienced in system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on engineering to deliver operational improvements from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead automation and digital manufacturing projects supporting production and operational excellence
Serve as system architect, integrating mechanical, electrical, controls, and software components
Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot complete automation systems before deployment
Develop specifications, business cases, and validation plans for manufacturing solutions
Collaborate with manufacturing sites, engineering teams, vendors, and external partners on project delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Minimum 8 years industrial engineering experience
Demonstrated expertise designing, integrating, and troubleshooting automation systems
Proven experience as system architect, technical lead, or project manager on industrial projects
Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholder groups
Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
Knowledge of structured quality systems and technical documentation practices

Compensation: $124,160-$194,000/yr plus bonus, stock, and benefits
