A company can spend months refining how it describes itself and still be judged in a two-minute conversation beside a retail display. That conversation is this job.

Evolv runs face-to-face marketing campaigns for client organizations across Chicago, including retail activations, pop-ups, live events and community promotions. As a Brand Marketing Assistant, you are the person customers actually meet. You explain what a client's product or service does, answer the questions a website never gets around to, and help people decide whether it's right for them. Where a campaign involves a purchase or sign-up, you handle that part too. This is in-person, customer-facing work with genuine and customer-acquisition responsibility attached, not a desk-based or digital marketing position.

What the day looks like

• Starting conversations with members of the public at campaign locations around the city

\n

• Presenting products, services and promotions accurately, including demonstrations where relevant

\n

• Listening properly, so you understand what someone actually needs and can handle questions or objections professionally

\n

• Completing customer acquisitions where the campaign calls for it, and working toward daily engagement and goals

\n

• Setting up and maintaining promotional materials and supporting teammates through the campaign day

\n

How you learn it

\n

\n

Nobody arrives knowing a client's campaign. You get structured training on the product, the brand and the conversation itself, then ongoing coaching from people who have already run that campaign. The expectation here is that you practice, ask questions, review what worked and adjust based on results rather than guesswork. Representatives who show consistent performance and professional standards can take on more responsibility over time, including helping develop newer teammates. That is earned through results, not scheduled in advance.

Who tends to do well

\n

\n

No specific degree or industry background is required. Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, sales, events or any role built around talking to people is useful but not essential. What counts is clear verbal communication, real listening, reliability, openness to coaching, and comfort approaching people you haven't met.

Practical details

\n

\n

Full-time and on-site in Chicago, working across campaign locations in the city. Pay is weekly, with performance-based incentives tied to campaign results. Training, coaching and mentorship are built into the role.
