Pay Range: $22–$28/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including forklifts and other facility machinery, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
• Complete lubrication, equipment adjustments, calibration checks, belt changes, filter replacements, and general inspections
• Identify potential equipment issues and communicate findings to maintenance leadership
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation in CMMS
• Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with LOTO and company safety standards
• Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and parts inventory
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical diploma, apprenticeship, or trade certification preferred
• 2+ years of preventative maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
• Experience with forklifts, conveyors, CNC machines, robotics, or automated equipment is an asset

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and LOTO procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as required
