Retail Supervisor

The Food Service Worker Supervisor oversees daily food service operations, leads staff members, ensures compliance with safety standards, and maintains high-quality food service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

Supervising, training, and supporting food service staff

Assigning tasks, preparing schedules, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels

Monitoring food preparation, service quality, portion control, and presentation

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Assisting with food prep and service when needed

Overseeing setup and breakdown of food stations and dining areas

Checking inventory levels; assisting with receiving, storing, and rotating supplies

Addressing customer concerns professionally

Ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and safely operated

Enforcing workplace policies, procedures, and performance expectations

Maintaining accurate records (temperature logs, cleaning checklists, inventory sheets)

Communicating concerns, issues, or needs to management promptly

Skills & Requirements:

Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities

Knowledge of food handling and sanitation regulations

Ability to organize tasks and manage staff effectively

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems quickly

Retail Supervisors ensure the Caf, Food Court featuring Local and National Concept Brand Outlets and Grab and Go outlets provide AMAZING food and service. This could be a great stepping-stone for an aspiring Food Service Director in busy and spirited setting!

Our Retail Supervisor oversees the Operations and Employee Management in Retail sales from all of our Food Outlets. Customer Relations is key with strong focus on HOSPITALITY and unexpected service. Must be able to read, write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts

Retail Supervisor maintains food quality, customer service in a cash handling retail food operation, with front and back of house responsibilities. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Requires related experience in retail food service management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ordering and purchasing
• Weekly and month end inventory
• Maintaining food cost goals
• Develop and oversee the production of caf daily menu
• Complete weekly productions prop and pull sheets
• Training and scheduling of caf staff
• Maintain quality service and quality food
• Adhere to cash handling procedures for register and safe
• Maintain professional uniform appearance
