Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS within six months of hire
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
• 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess and reassess patient conditions, planning and implementing care based on established standards and individual patient needs.
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Provide patient and family education based on assessed learning needs and readiness.
• Identify risks to patient safety and implement measures to prevent incidents.
• Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in accordance with established policies.
