Registered Nurse - Orthopedic / Neuro Spine

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in orthopedics and neuro spine to join our fast-paced medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate must be able to manage pain effectively for orthopedic and spine patients and be customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for orthopedic, neuro spine, and post-surgical patients.
• Monitor and manage patients' pain levels, ensuring effective pain management strategies are in place.
• Participate in a collaborative team environment, possibly floating to other med-surg units as needed.
• Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an orthopedic setting.
• BCLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
• Current RN license - NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission.
