Fire Sprinkler Estimator

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator in Honolulu, Hawaii to develop accurate estimates for commercial fire protection projects and support preconstruction efforts.

Impact

• Deliver competitive bids that win profitable fire protection projects

• Reduce estimating errors through thorough quantity take-offs and pricing

• Strengthen client relationships with accurate and timely proposals

• Support project teams with reliable budgets for successful execution

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fire sprinkler projects

• Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications

• Analyze project documents to identify scope, risers, and potential challenges

• Develop material pricing through vendor quotes and historical data

• Coordinate with project managers and field teams on labor productivity assumptions

• Review subcontractor proposals and incorporate into overall estimates

• Participate in bid strategy meetings and pre-bid walkthroughs

• Maintain estimating databases and update pricing libraries

• Support proposal preparation and client presentations

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 5+ years of fire sprinkler estimating experience

• Prior hands-on field experience in fire sprinkler installation

• Strong understanding of fire protection systems and NFPA codes

• Proficiency with estimating and take-off software

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the Honolulu or Hawaii construction market

• NICET certification in fire protection

• Familiarity with design-build project delivery

• Knowledge of local codes and AHJ requirements
