For more information, visit Position Summary: The Lean Continuous Improvement Specialist supports operational excellence initiatives by analyzing manufacturing and business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing Lean methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and waste reduction. This role facilitates Kaizen events, promotes Lean culture and best practices, provides training and coaching to employees, and supports process standardization across the organization. Working with cross-functional teams, the specialist measures performance, tracks improvement results and cost savings, develops visual management systems, and helps optimize workflow, workforce utilization, and facility layouts to achieve strategic business objectives while enhancing safety, quality, and operational performance. Responsibilities Analyze current work methods and processes and identify opportunities to implement common processes and best demonstrated practices. Provide leadership, coaching, and training in Lean thinking and Lean production. Promote Lean thinking and industry information throughout the organization; attend Lean seminars and events to support development. Recognize Lean contributors throughout the organization. Support process integration of continuous improvement; improve manufacturing processes by understanding, measuring, charting, and reducing variations that negatively impact processes; drive standardization and consistency of approach. Facilitate Continuous Improvement interventions (Kaizen events) and activity involvement teams across the organization. Measure and analyze current state and change results to sustain and build upon improvements. Ensure predicted savings and other financial benefits are tracked, validated, and applied to operating results. Create and maintain visual management to sustain gains. Coordinate training of personnel in Lean philosophy, Lean tools, and other improvement approaches aligned to the organization. Communicate project status and issues to all levels of the organization. Assist business units to eliminate waste and improve processes with targets, objectives, and schedules aligned to strategic plans; coordinate Lean savings plans and goals. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and workspace layouts based on Lean principles. Full working knowledge of relevant business practices; apply standard theories and concepts to propose actions. Work under minimal supervision; rely on experience and judgment; may assist in training peers. Judgement required in resolving complex problems based on experience. Contacts are with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers; occasional contact with external contractors/vendors. Occasional business travel may be required. Required Bachelor’s degree 1-3 years related experience in Continuous Improvement Pharma/Med device manufacturing experience - preferred High-volume manufacturing experience - preferred Lean or Six Sigma certification - preferred Working and Compensation Details Schedule: Onsite. Standard business hours - Monday to Friday; after-hours support may be needed. Salary Range: $87k–$100k While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel. The employee may occasionally stand and walk and lift up to 20 pounds. The targeted compensation range considers skill, experience, licensure, and organizational needs.
