Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Azure cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications, working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver demos and technical presentations are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based batch processing and Spring Boot applications.
• Build, deploy, and manage applications on Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Design and document API specifications following industry best practices.
• Work on data modeling and schema design for relational databases.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Develop and support cloud-native solutions using modern Azure services.
• Provide technical demonstrations and support stakeholder discussions.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new and legacy technologies as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in stakeholder interaction and technical demos.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and backend development.
• Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with RDBMS data modeling and relational database design.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as: Azure Functions, App Services, Azure Key Vault (AKV), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Application Insights, Azure Monitor.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies as required.

Good to Have

• Experience in the banking or financial services domain (e.g., credit cards, loans).
• Exposure to Azure Cosmos DB and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
• Experience in building cloud-native, distributed systems.
