Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Harrisburg, PA where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Pennsylvania state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Experience with mechanical ventilators, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and ventilator set-up and self-test procedures per facility policy.
• Ability to perform arterial puncture and interpret blood gas results according to policy.
• Experience with airway management including endotracheal tube insertion and removal and tracheostomy care.
• Familiarity with oximetry and capnography monitoring, 12lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing (e.g., NIF, VC).
• Ability to perform procedures supporting bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and chest drainage devices when applicable.
• Ability to perform CPR following BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Documentation skills for respiratory care records and charge entry.
• Preferred: Experience in acute hospital settings and familiarity with moderate complexity lab specimen handling and testing procedures.
